UAC launches Leadership Academy – Class of ‘26

UAC is proud to announce the launch of the inaugural Leadership Academy – Class of ‘26.

This is a dedicated program designed to equip the next generation of underwriting agency leaders with the tools, knowledge and connections they need to shape the future of our sector.

Built from the ground up, this initiative reflects UAC’s strong commitment to developing a robust, capable, and values-led leadership pipeline.

We believe this is one that will sustain and elevate underwriting agencies in the years to come.

In a sector known for its innovation and specialist expertise, leadership plays a pivotal role in how we respond to complexity, navigate change, and support brokers and clients across Australia.

This Academy is about ensuring that our future leaders are not only technically skilled but also confident, connected, and ready to lead with purpose.

Over the course of the program, participants will expand their thinking, build on their existing capabilities, and learn from some of the best minds in our industry.

They will engage with peers, challenge assumptions, and sharpen their leadership mindset in a supportive and dynamic learning environment.

Significantly, the program goes beyond technical development.

It also supports the development of personal clarity, confidence and a strong values base, helping participants reflect on what kind of leader they want to be, and what type of leadership our industry needs.

Developed by UAC and supported by ANZIIF, the Leadership Academy is proudly backed by HDI Global as the inaugural Program Sponsor.

The experience combines on-demand learning with immersive workshops and high-impact mentoring from respected industry leaders.

This is an exciting step forward in delivering on UAC’s strategic pillars of Connection and Viability, strengthening the professionalism and resilience of our sector by investing in the people who will shape its future.

The Leadership Academy has been a long time in the making, and I couldn’t be more proud of what we’ve created.

It has taken months of planning, collaboration and deep thinking about what future leadership really looks like in our sector.

I’m excited not just for the participants who will go through the program, but for the impact they’ll have in the years ahead.

This program is about creating lasting change at the business, sector, and personal levels.

The UAC Board and I thank our program partners and everyone who helped bring this initiative to life. We look forward to following the journey of the Class of ‘26.
