ADVERTORIAL
Launch of UAC’s new strategy plan 2026-2028
UAC has continued to grow alongside our members, strengthening our role as the peak body representing underwriting agencies across Australia.
The Board has taken the opportunity this year to reflect, realign and set our strategic direction for the years ahead.
Over the past two years, we have lifted the energy, visibility and impact of the organisation through initiatives that connect, educate and support our member community. Our focus now is to build on that momentum.
The new strategic plan ensures these principles continue to guide our decision-making, advocacy, partnerships and services.
It is an evolution rather than a departure, reaffirming the strategic pillars that have shaped our direction.
Connected
We will continue to create value through strong business relationships and a community where information and opportunity flow easily. In the coming years, our priorities include:
- Enhancing our market exchanges.
- Strengthening engagement across our membership.
- Delivering practical products and services for members.
- Attracting new members who complement and diversify our community.
- We aim to ensure UAC remains a place where members gain commercial value, practical insights and meaningful relationships.
Relevant
We will support members with the knowledge and capability needed to meet current and emerging challenges, including:
- Promoting education that lifts capability across the sector.
- Developing leadership at all levels.
- Connecting members to global trends, innovation and best practice.
- Publishing information that supports informed decision-making.
- Our role is to equip members to navigate this landscape with confidence.
Influential
Underwriting agencies are a vital part of the general insurance ecosystem, and that contribution must be understood and recognised:
- Strengthen UAC’s presence and recognition.
- Advocate for the priorities of underwriting agencies.
- Engage with policymakers to support regulation that is fit for purpose.
- “Many voices, one message” remains a guiding principle.
Progressive
A progressive UAC evolves with the market and responds to member needs:
- Building operational excellence.
- Strengthening alignment across the Board, staff and membership.
- Ensuring sustainable financial performance.
- Continuously refining our programs and services.
These pillars guide our work through to 2028 and form a strong framework for our five key priorities:
- Deepening member value.
- Strengthening broker and partner relationships.
- Investing in operational excellence.
- Ensuring alignment and clarity across the organisation.
- Amplifying the value of underwriting agencies in the general insurance sector.
These priorities reflect the insights and aspirations of our members and reinforce UAC’s role as the peak body for underwriting agencies in Australia.
